Life is busy, and let’s face it, cooking can sometimes feel like a chore.  Yes, even as someone who loves cooking, there are days that putting together a meal is the last thing I want to do.  So I started collecting and experimenting with recipes of easy, quick, delicious meals.  I put a lot of focus on one pot meals, because if there’s hardly enough time to cook, there is certainly not enough time to clean a kitchen full of dirty pots!

Over time I’ve put together a collection of these easy go-to recipes, as well as some other more time-consuming ones (hello risotto), and now I want to share them with you!

Many of these recipes also make enough food for multiple meals, so they’re great to throw together on the weekend for some quick easy dinners during the week.  Nothing better than being able to pop a dish in the microwave for 1-2 minute, and voila, dinner!

I love experimenting with new recipes, so be on the lookout for new ones! You can also follow me on Instagram (@dishes.by.deb) for the latest updates.

The Latest…

Main Dishes

These dishes are some of my favorites to make, most are incredibly easy, and many are one pot meals!

Sides

For those nights when you just want a good old steak, but feel like you should have something “green” to go with it. These recipes are for you!

Soups

Great for cozy fall days or bitter winter nights! Also most are meat free so are great options for meatless Mondays!

Desserts

Because sometimes you just need to indulge. These mostly are family recipes and can be a bit more time consuming, but it is worth the effort!

About Me…

Hi everyone, I’m Deb! I grew up in a house with a mom who loved cooking, and loved trying new recipes to make for our family. I grew to love having home cooked meals every night, and I’m happy to say, my mom’s love of cooking wore off on me. These days I love cooking and especially love trying new recipes!

My adventures in the kitchen started off slow, as it turns out I was not a very helpful child when it came to my mom’s cooking, and I went off to college hardly knowing how to boil an egg. Luckily for me, it was a quick call home to figure out what I was doing, and after a bit of time I started to feel confident in the kitchen. Nowadays cooking is one of my favorite hobbies, trying new recipes, experimenting with new ingredients, it’s all so much fun, and I can’t wait to share these recipes, and tips, with all of you!
