Sour Assistant

This is a take on a Whiskey Sour, very simple and delcious!

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 oz Whiskey

For sweet and sour mix:

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

  • 1/2 cup water

  • 1/2 cup lime juice (preferably freshly squeezed)

  • 1/2 cup lemon juice (preferably freshly squeezed)

Instructions:

  1. Make Simple Syrup. Add water and sugar to a small sauce pan and heat over medium heat until boiling. Cook, stirring until sugar completely dissolved. Once the sugar is dissolved remove from heat and let cool completely.

  2. Create sweet and sour mix by combining the lemon juice, lime juice, and Simple Syrup. This stores for 3-4 weeks in a container in the fridge.

  3. Combine 3 oz of the sweet and sour mix, ice and 1.5 oz of whiskey in a shaker and shake to combine. Pour into a glass with ice and enjoy!
