Four Fresh Fish Recipes for Winter

While fish is often thought of as a summer food, it can also make some great winter meals as well! Here are four of my favorite fish recipes that are great for winter!

First up is a nice and spicy dish, Green Curry with Halibut. I absolutely love this dish, it has such wonderful flavors, and if you like spice, this dish is for you! The broth and rice make it hearty enough for a cold winter day, but by using fish it keeps it light enough to not be overly heavy.

Next up is a recipe that uses my favorite winter veggie, brussels sprouts! It is the Salmon with Brussels Sprouts. This is a great quick and easy recipe, and it’s a one pot meal! This dish is a bit lighter than the Green Curry with Halibut with a simple white wine sauce, but it’s still a great option for the winter!

Our next recipe is a newer one that I just discovered back in December. It’s the Mahi Mahi with Artichokes and Sun-dried Tomatoes. This dish is so ridiculously good I’ve made it three times already in the last month! While the topping sounds like it would be great in the summer, the sun-dried tomatoes actually gives it a more hearty taste which is perfect for winter. You can also easily substitute any other white fish for the mahi mahi, or ever use chicken, which makes this dish super versatile.

Last, but certainly not least, is the Salmon Burger. As a self-proclaimed burger snob, I’m always surprised when I find fish based burgers that I love, and this is one of the few! It’s a simple recipe with some great fresh ingredients that really make this burger shine. I love the red peppers in the topping, and the additional of dill and chives to the burger mixture. It all comes together to make a delicious burger!
