Roasted Brussel Sprouts

This is an easy sheet pan side dish and, bonus, you can have fun experimenting with different spices on it!

 Ingredients:

  • 1 lb Brussel Sprouts

  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil

  • Salt and pepper

Optional:

  • Any spices you like! I love using either berbere for a kick or a blend from the Spice and Tea Exchange called Colonial Seasoning for a more mellow flavor.

 

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

  2. Wash and thoroughly dry the brussel sprouts

  3. Cut off the bottoms of the brussel sprouts and discard.

  4. Halve the brussel sprouts and put into a bowl.

  5. Drizzle olive oil and any spices over brussel sprouts. Toss to coat.

  6. Arrange brussel sprouts on a sheet pan, keep about 1” space between them. Cook for 20-25 minutes or until just starting to brown.
